Efforts by Japan’s Public Private Partnership toward REDD+ Initiative
Japan’s Public-Private Platform for REDD+, JICA, FFPRI

“Japan’s Public-Private Platform for REDD+ (JP3-REDD+)” was established in 2014 and 72 organizations (including private companies, ministries, etc.) are currently participating.
Cooperation generated by JP3-REDD+ has led to better levels of readiness support and the development of improved technical methodologies for REDD+.
JICA and FFPRI (Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute) are holding this event to promote the various activities being undertaken by both the Japanese public and private sectors towards REDD+, while also further learning of the expectations and needs of developing countries. Furthermore, discussions will be held regarding the outlook and challenges for
REDD+ in the future.
