Forests provide many goods and services and can play significant roles in climate-change mitigation and adaptation, as well as in people’s livelihoods. This side-event will explore forest-based solutions for combating climate change and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, with a focus on the roles of green supply chains, biocorridor restoration, community-based REDD+ projects, innovative forest monitoring systems, and research and development.
The side-event is co-organized by ITTO and Japan’s Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute (FFPRI).
