On 15 July 2016, the "Japan Public-Private Platform for REDD+" 
will hold the international symposium "Japan's Contribution for 
the Implementation of REDD+"  - Role of Japan's Private Sector 
for Implementing the Green Economy in Developing Countries - 
at United Nations University in Tokyo, Japan. 
Jointly organized by the Ministry of Environment, Government 
of Japan (MOEG), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), 
and the Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute (FFPRI), 
this symposium aims at providing better understanding for 
implementation and future challenges for REDD+ (*) to establish 
a green economy in Southeast Asian countries. Roles of Japan's 
private sector will also be discussed. Speakers include stakeholders 
from Southeast Asian countries. 

The Japan Public-Private Platform for REDD+ is the platform for 
information/experience sharing, which is the initiative for 
synergy among diverse Japanese players. The platform includes
private businesses, NGOs, government agencies, research 
institutions and other relevant organizations and authorities,
with the ultimate goal of promoting the activities of REDD+ 
in developing countries. 

This event, which will be held in English/Japanese, is free 
and open to the public. Registration is required. Please register
